I will begin by basically outlining what I have learned about the chosen topics stated above ND I will also explain how certain parts of the chosen topics apply to my own life. In addition I will include information on my current major here at Grand Canyon University, my personal experiences and today’s culture and society. According to Mark 5 New International Version (2011) the bible speaks of Jesus raising a deceased girl and the healing off sick woman; John 11 speaks of the death of Lazarus and how Jesus comforts Lazarus sisters by raising their brother Lazarus from the dead.
Lazarus sister lost faith along the way arguing with Jesus that he took to long to come and see about his friend. Reasonably believe that Jesus delayed his visit on purpose so that Lazarus could have truly been considered dead. When Jesus came Lazarus body began to rot and decay this alone proves that Lazarus was considered dead and witness couldn’t Just say that Lazarus was Just asleep. This way Jesus was able to prove to all that he has the power to heal the sick and raise the dead.
These types of miraculous acts have taken place throughout the bible proving to the readers as well as the participants in the story that Jesus has supernatural powers and he is lord of all. These particular passages remains close to my heart, because passages such as Hess are the foundation to my faith, it gives me the confidence that the God I have come to know or able to do miraculous acts then as well as today. Jesus is so great that he didn’t only raise mankind from the grave he was also able to free himself from death. Understanding such powers may be considered a lot for individuals to fathom their brain around. According to Luke 22-24 New International Version (201 1 L these passages speaks on the betrayal of Judas, the Last Supper, how Jesus goes to Mount Olives to pray, also speaks of Jesus arrest, when Peter denies Jesus, how the awards ridicule Jesus, the presence of Jesus before Pilate and Hero, and the Crucifixion of Jesus. All this leads up to the resurrection of Jesus, which I believe to be the highlight of the whole bible.
The resurrection of Jesus speaks great volume as I read, it plays havoc on many of my emotions, I feel overjoyed with sadness while simultaneously feeling overwhelmed with Joy. The resurrection of Jesus gives hope to Christians all around the world to know that Jesus lives and his death wasn’t In vain It was the process to show how much he loved mankind. The resurrection of Jesus Christ ensures Christians that Jesus will always keep any promises that he makes. ‘Off forsake you. ” allows my soul to continuously be fill with happiness and encouragement knowing no matter how difficult life becomes Jesus will always be present.
The resurrection also ensures believers that Jesus has already prepared a home, for all who believe in him will one day be with him in heaven. I am personally so glad that Jesus is alpha and omega because if death would have imprisoned Jesus our living would be in vain. Jesus has always been present in my life, even when it was time for me to choose a university I knew that I wanted a university that would align with who I am and after doing an exhaustive research on Grand Canyon, this is why I choose GU.
Grand Canyon University has augment to my faith with classes such as Christian Worldview 101; this class will help with my current major as a Business Administrator which will allow me to employ my Godly morals and ethics in any company that I will work for in the future. Understanding Gods need and expectations will keep me align with his teaching on how to treat my fellow co-workers as well as my co-students here at Grand Canyon University. My rearing from my parents has given me such a pleasant and hopeful outlook on life, no matter where I’m at people around seems to always enjoy my presence.
Whether I’m at home among family and friends, school, or at work people around me seems to always enjoy my existence they say that when I’m in the room I bring an oral of peace and calmness. I simply respond by saying, “it’s the God in me”. I’m really grateful that my parents have given me the gift and opportunity to know the word of God and his expectations. Many kids of today are being deprived of God and his expectation, this is why I believe our culture and society has so many UT of control youth, my parents would always say a child can only produce what’s inside.
I believe parents are putting nothing into their children and when their faced with major decision they look to their friends and to the world for help. In conclusion on this particular topic I personally believe that Jesus is a choice and he doesn’t want us to prosecute or ridicule someone Just because they don’t believe as we do. Jesus wants us to come to him on our own free will. Time has proven that Jesus is who he say he is, when I’m faced with difficult times in my life and I was arced to put his word and promises to the test he has always showed up.
I don’t believe that God comes when we want, but he always on time.
