Memorable Day Essay

In life we all encounter events and different experiences but they are not memorable. There are some that remain in our minds forever. My little brother four wheeler accident is one of those days. This was a very disturbing and tragic day for me. This happened 10 years ago but I can remember it like it was Just yesterday. One weekend we both went to go visit our dad. It is not much to do where he lives because it is a rural area with nothing but land. We were bored with nothing to do on this particular day so we went to a racing track for four wheelers and dirt bikes.

We .NET with our step-brother who enjoyed riding them. This had seemed to remove the boredom away from our day. As we arrived it was filled with people everywhere with all types of bikes and Tabs. This seemed to be a day to sit back and enjoy. I and my brother were both watching the races together. I was so amazed with all of the different types of bikes. While watching the races I was alarmed by a big group of people who surrounded a scene. I got up and walked over to the scene to find out what was causing such chaos. It was my little brother who I thought was right beside e watching along with me.

He was lying on the back of a pick-up truck with weeping tears in his eyes that made me Just feel his pain. No one knew what was wrong with him except a boy who he had Just met. My brother was riding on the back of a four wheeler with the boy, who was not paying attention while he was driving. He made a sharp turn avoiding a car he was about to hit. The TV rolled over and as it rolled over the handle bars injured my brother internally and cut his liver, which at the time we had no idea. The boy who was driving was in perfect condition. My dad arrived to he scene and we had to rush my brother to a hospital that was an hour away.

In the car all I heard was the cries from my brother and my dad telling him that he was going to be k. On our way to the hospital we got pulled over for speeding but the cop let us go because it was an emergency. The only thing I could think about is how I did not keep my eyes on my six year old brother. Once we finally arrived to the hospital, we rushed him inside and the doctors took a look at him immediately. After a 30 minute wait the doctors told my dad that my brother would have to be flown to another hospital because they did not have the proper tools to operate on him.

My dad rode along with my brother in the helicopter, while I had to ride in a car with my dad’s girlfriend. I started worrying if I was going to lose my brother. This was the most horrific day in my life. It took us 2 hours to reach the hospital. All I could do is cry and worry about him. The doctors came out with some good news that said he was going to make it. I could not see him because he was not being released that day. That whole night I couldn’t sleep but I was happy to know that my brother would live to see another day. Memorable Day By lughole
